My special person - My Mom

Mark Twain said: “My mother had a slender, small body, but a large heart - a heart so large that everybody’s joys found welcome in it, and hospitable accommodation” That is a perfect quote to describe any mother. If someone asks me who influences strongly in my life, I will say that it is my mother. Even though I have been far away Vietnam for a while, my memories that is for my mother is last forever. My mother’s image that has been instilled in my mind had tremendously helped in my spiritual and flourished my dream.

I was brought up in a middle class family in Vietnam. From my mother telling, I was a weak baby, so my mother always took care of me 24/24. She told me that she was totally upset when she knew my lung disease. My parent had to work hard to earn to pay my hospital fees. I was her first baby and I could feel how the young parents overcame the hard time. I got over my sickness until I was 4. My mother still hoped I could grow up as a normal child. Therefore, any time I got cough, my mother is worried about me. That’s an invaluable gift that I received since I was born.

I would say that my mother is the toughest person I have seen. I remember once my parents’ business went bankrupt. My father stayed at home to manage his machine store soon after his business failed down. My mother was the person who helped all my members of family to overcome those times. Due to shortage of material condition, my mother herself has trained a strong will and ability to deal with difficulty and strongly stood up to start over again. Because of that, my mother never allowed me to give up my dream. She is a brave and confident woman who is the best example I follow up her footsteps. Her attitude and perseverance that she faced struggles have encouraged me to grow up to live the life of an ambitious person. She taught me to respect money which I earn or don’t earn. When I was in Vietnam, I did not understand much about this invaluable life lesson until I has been in US and worked for my friends five hours in a restaurant. I thought my mother doesn’t only has to pay a lot of money for my tuition fee ,but she also raise my two brothers up in Vietnam, I started to perceive how valuable was money which I worked on.

My mother is the wonderful women. I can never thank my mother enough for what she has given me. I sure one day I can make my dream comes true instead of just a dream. I am going to be a person who my mother is proud of.

  When you decide to study in a college or a university, the first thing that is coming to your mind is which majors you are going to study or which occupations is suitable with your potential ability, so do I. When I was little, I wished I had become a doctor or a famous artist. Simply, I wanted to be a rich person. Until I studied in high school; I felt that these jobs were not for me anymore. I strongly thought that I would like to be a successful woman like my mom as a final decision. I chose business was my major for many reasons.

   The first important reason is I was born in a business family. It influences much to my life since I grew up. My dad is a business owner with a machine store; my mom is a business owner who trades variety of cars. Therefore, my major is not only chosen for my parent’s expectation, but it is also one of the biggest passions that I extremely seek. My dream is to want to be an excellent entrepreneur and to help other people make money. My parents hope that I can do it and I am going to take over my parents business as well.

    The second reason that I chose business was my major is I have chances to deal with many different kinds of people. I can talk and learn a lot of things from others with many variety backgrounds. Whenever people talk about business, they consider that it is money. It is only a crucial purpose. For me, a successful business woman is a good listener, who understands other’s need, or an excellent communicator who makes others cheer or a perfect leader who makes a great decision for her team members. Business is always a big challenge for anyone. I never fear failure because I was taught one significant lesson from my mom is the more I face struggles, the more I mature

    The last reason is I can make a lot of money to do charity. I wish one day if I was rich and had a happy family, I would donate my money for African children and old people who are disable and do not get enough food, water and education.

   These above factors are the reasons for I chose business. To make my dream comes true; I first need to educate myself as much as I can. My goal is to get MBA degree, is one of the most sought and respected degrees in the business world.

A perfect man in Valentine Day

  Love is always a special topic which everyone feels touch all the times. In fact, nobody can live without love. Love is expressed by many different ways which we are interested in others around us. For example, it is an affection between a boy and a girl or the protection of parents is for their children or it is may be like the above picture which a man probably has a special gift for his awesome wife in Valentine's Day.

  First of all, I was very impressed this picture at the first time I saw it. It can be just a normal picture but I wish one day every man in the world was like him. In the Valentine Day, nothing can compare to the image of a man who goes to market, buys food for his family instead of his wife. Especially, the man was not only carrying a lot of stuff, he was also holding a bunch of white and red roses and a big gift. That's one interesting way I think a husband can show his love effectively for his wife. Moreover, if his children can see how he treats their mother, they will definitely love him more than before. I like a man who takes care of his family and even a little chore. I believe that everyone agrees with me. ^^

  The second thing that I like this picture is his emotion. Look at his face, it is easy to see that he was very hurry up and really wanted to go home as soon as possible. Probably, he was forced to carry those things by someone because his face looks so poor. May be, those stuff which he was carrying was too heavy. However, who knows what it was ?. hehe. In my opinion, I assume that he was excited to go home soon to prepare a wonderful dinner with his sweetheart. It could be a romantic light with light-candles, grape wine and a mild song. So, he needed more time to have everything done. I hope my dad could do that for my mom in Valentine's day.

  The last thing is the signification of a bunch of white and red rose that he was holding. Typically, rose is the symbol of love. Do you know the meaning of each color? Let's me tell you something. Believe or not, whenever you see a man give a woman a bunch of white and red rose, its signification is the perfect combination of two people and they was born for loving each other.:"> The man in this picture showed that meaning. This is the sweet man. Secondly, color of rose, pink red will represent passionate love of your opposite-sex person. It is very intense. Pink roses - real love is the symbol of purity and love is a promise. Yellow roses mean infidelity. Meanwhile, yellow roses symbolize the love you gave but you did not know if your opposite –sex person accepts or not. White roses mean  "silent love".

   In conclusion, each person has their own opinion about love. For me, the image of a man like the above picture is amazing and sweet. I wish my husband in the future would do that for me in Valentine day.

Welcome to my awesome blog!!!!

Are you a happy person? Yes. Yeahhhh. If you say NO, that’s ok.  Let’s talk to me. I am a talkative person and I can make you fired. Don’t be scared of me. I will treat you friendly as much as I can. Haha

Let’s me introduce myself first. My name is VanAnh and you call me Ruby as well. Actually, I would like people call my Vietnamese name rather than my English name. No question, I am from Vietnam. In my family, I am the oldest of four-child family. It’s amazing. Usually, people think that I am from a one- child family because of my small figure. And, I am appreciated so much if you speak English to me and correct my mistakes. English is the language that I will use much for my future job.

Secondly, Seattle is the first place where I have been living. I traveled in Orlando, Florida and Los Angles, California and so on….Wherever I go far away from Seattle; I miss its weather so much even it’s very bad sometimes.

In school, Mathematics and Biology are my favorite subjects and I do not like History at all. I was born in a business family. That’s the reason why I choose business as my major and the other reason I want to make much money in the future. It’s my goal as well. But, my first goal is to graduate college and then I will transfer to a university to get a MBA degree. Anyway, I am really excited to be a part of Seattle Central Community College.

I have a lot of dreams. My big dream is to become a successful business woman in the future like my mom. And, I want have a beautiful house, especially it has a big garden. Moreover, I wish that I had a lot of time to spend with my family and give my parents a vacation to travel around the world.

 

Moreover, I am whispering my secret to you and please do not tell it to anyone. One word that my family and friends might use to describe me is kind.I would love to hang out and go to cinema with my friends, chat on Facebook, read books, shop in malls.

The last thing is I am a shy person but I like to make friends.
